As our founder and managing member, Dan brings over 30 years of experience in accounting and managing high growth pest management companies to our firm. As an owner, manager, CFO and industry consultant he has been involved with the development of several pest control companies from inception to more than $100 million in annual revenue.
Dan began his career at Touche, Ross & Co., a predecessor to Deloitte, as an auditor, then as a tax consultant working on strategy and compliance for individuals and entities as well as working in transaction services, where he worked on several roll ups in the cable industry.
After leaving Touche, Dan joined an old friend in his pest control company who eventually sold the company to Dan. With the help of a talented team, they scaled up and sold it the company to Viking Termite & Pest Control (now an Anticimex company). Dan became the CFO and helped grow that company to become a PCT Top 50 company over the next five years.
As cloud- and web-based technology became prevalent in the early 2000s, Dan had a vision to create an accounting firm dedicated to serving pest control and lawn care professionals across the U.S. He left Viking and founded PCO Bookkeepers.
In 2012, Dan realized his expertise in tax planning and background in transactional work could add value for clients looking to sell their pest control firms, so he added a mergers & acquisitions division.
Dan is a CPA licensed in the state of Florida, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Society of CPAs. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in accounting and management.
When not working with clients or the team at PCO Bookkeepers & M&A Specialists, Dan loves spending time with his wife, Carol, and his three grown children, Matthew, Melissa and Michael. He is an avid boater and golf hack.
Dan’s added value: A dedicated leader to both his clients and team members.
